Terms of Use
By using Can We Eat That?, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
General information only
Can We Eat That? provides general educational information. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, emergency guidance, or a substitute for care from a qualified clinician. Guidance may be incomplete, outdated, or inapplicable to your circumstances.
Do not use it to manage medication
Never start, stop, delay, or change a prescription or over-the-counter medicine because of this app. Pregnancy and breastfeeding decisions can depend on dose, timing, medical history, and the risks of untreated illness. Contact your prescriber or pharmacist.
Food and product details vary
Recipes, labels, preparation, contamination, recalls, serving sizes, and product formulations change. Confirm the actual ingredients, pasteurization, cooking temperature, mercury category, alcohol content, caffeine amount, and current recall status when relevant.
AI-assisted dish analysis
AI may be used to identify likely ingredients in a compound dish. AI output can be wrong or omit ingredients. The app then applies reviewed entries and conservative rules, but that process also has limitations. Confirm the real recipe before relying on a result.
No warranty
The service is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, or non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the project maintainers are not liable for decisions, injuries, losses, or damages arising from use of the service.
Privacy and feedback
The core reference does not require an account. If feedback storage is configured, a one-way hash derived from the request IP address may be stored to limit duplicate submissions, along with the topic, feedback value, and timestamp. Hosting and API providers may process ordinary technical logs under their own policies.
Changes
Content, features, sources, and these terms may change as guidance and the product evolve. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
