Zinc Supplement

Zinc is safe during breastfeeding and important for both mom's immune function and baby's growth. The recommended daily intake increases during lactation.

Up to 40mg/day from all sources
Breastfeeding women need 12–13mg zinc/day. Zinc transfers into breast milk, particularly in early lactation. Dietary sources include meat, shellfish, legumes, and nuts. Supplementation is safe at standard doses. Avoid very high doses (over 40mg/day) as they can interfere with copper absorption.
