Walnuts

Walnuts are safe and actually a fantastic choice while breastfeeding. They're one of the best plant-based sources of omega-3 fatty acids, which support your baby's brain development through your milk.

No need to avoid walnuts unless your baby has a confirmed tree nut allergy. Walnuts provide ALA omega-3s, antioxidants, and protein. While ALA is less potent than the DHA in fatty fish, it still contributes to your overall omega-3 intake during nursing.

Always confirm with your doctor or lactation consultant before making dietary changes while breastfeeding.
