Turmeric

Turmeric is safe and actually beneficial while breastfeeding! Its active compound curcumin has anti-inflammatory properties, and culinary amounts are completely fine for nursing moms.

Culinary amounts are fine; avoid high-dose supplement forms
Turmeric has been used as a culinary spice and traditional medicine for thousands of years. Culinary amounts in cooking are considered safe during breastfeeding. Curcumin has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that may support postpartum recovery. High-dose curcumin supplements are less well-studied and best avoided during breastfeeding, but cooking with turmeric or making golden milk with a teaspoon is fine.
