Thyme is safe in culinary amounts and is a nutritious herb rich in vitamin C and antioxidants. No supply concerns at normal dietary levels.
Thyme is safe in culinary amounts during breastfeeding. Thyme essential oil is much more concentrated and not recommended for internal use. Some traditional practices use thyme tea as a respiratory aid — an occasional cup is likely fine, but concentrated or frequent use hasn't been well studied.
