Spicy Tuna Roll

Spicy tuna rolls contain raw tuna, which is fine for breastfeeding — but tuna is a higher-mercury fish, so keep portions moderate. Stick to 1-2 rolls and don't eat tuna every day.

Limit tuna to 1 serving per week given higher mercury content
The raw fish restriction from pregnancy doesn't apply to breastfeeding — foodborne pathogens don't pass through breast milk. However, mercury does. Tuna (especially bigeye and bluefin) is higher in mercury. The FDA recommends limiting higher-mercury fish to one serving per week. If you love tuna rolls, have them occasionally and balance with lower-mercury fish the rest of the week.
