Spearmint

Spearmint has weaker anti-galactagogue effects than peppermint but may reduce supply in large amounts. Culinary use is fine; regular spearmint tea is worth watching.

📉Milder anti-galactagogue effect than peppermint; regular high intake may reduce supply.
Spearmint has lower menthol content than peppermint, so the supply-reducing effect is milder. Culinary amounts are generally not a concern. However, drinking several cups of spearmint tea daily could potentially reduce supply over time. Spearmint has also been studied for its anti-androgenic effects, which is unrelated to lactation but worth knowing.
