Soy Milk
Soy milk is safe while breastfeeding for most moms and babies. A small number of babies have soy sensitivity — if your baby is unusually gassy or fussy, soy is one thing to consider eliminating to see if it helps.
Soy is one of the most common food sensitivities in infants, and soy proteins can pass through breast milk in small amounts. Most babies tolerate maternal soy consumption fine, but if you have a fussy baby with digestive symptoms, soy is worth a trial elimination for 2-3 weeks. Talk to your pediatrician if you're concerned.
Always confirm with your doctor or lactation consultant before making dietary changes while breastfeeding.
