Shatavari

Shatavari is a traditional Ayurvedic galactagogue with some supportive evidence. It's widely used in South Asia and is considered generally safe in culinary doses.

📈Used in Ayurvedic medicine to support milk production; some evidence of prolactin elevation.
A small number of clinical studies suggest shatavari may increase prolactin levels and milk volume. It has adaptogenic properties and is used broadly in women's health in Ayurvedic medicine. Human safety data during breastfeeding is limited. Those with hormone-sensitive conditions or asparagus allergies should consult a provider before use.

Always confirm with your doctor or lactation consultant before making dietary changes while breastfeeding.
