Ramen

Ramen is safe and satisfying while breastfeeding! A warm bowl of noodles in rich broth with eggs and protein is a great meal. Restaurant ramen tends to be high in sodium, so balance it with water-rich foods.

Ramen is made from wheat noodles in a broth (pork, chicken, or miso-based) topped with various proteins, a soft-boiled egg, nori, and vegetables. All standard ramen ingredients are safe while breastfeeding. The main caveat is sodium — restaurant ramen can contain 1,500-2,500mg of sodium per bowl. This won't harm your baby, but staying hydrated is extra important for nursing moms.
