MiraLAX (Polyethylene Glycol)

MiraLAX is safe during breastfeeding. It's an osmotic laxative that draws water into the colon and is not systemically absorbed.

Polyethylene glycol 3350 (MiraLAX) is not absorbed into the bloodstream and cannot reach breast milk. It's an osmotic agent that works by drawing water into the colon to soften stool. It's safe for regular postpartum use. Drink plenty of water when using it. Can be combined with docusate for more effective constipation relief.
