Mead

Mead — honey wine — carries the same considerations as any alcoholic beverage while breastfeeding. Alcohol passes into breast milk at levels approximately equal to your blood alcohol level. If you choose to drink mead, follow the general guideline: one standard drink and wait at least 2 hours before nursing. Mead's alcohol content varies widely (3–20% ABV), so know what you're drinking.
