Magnesium Supplement

Magnesium is safe during breastfeeding and many moms are deficient. It's helpful for sleep, muscle cramps, and stress — common postpartum concerns.

Breastfeeding women need 310–360mg magnesium/day. Deficiency is common due to dietary gaps. Magnesium glycinate and malate forms are well absorbed and gentle on the GI tract. Magnesium oxide and citrate can have a laxative effect at higher doses. Passes into breast milk in small amounts with no known concern. Helpful for postpartum leg cramps and sleep.

Always confirm with your doctor or lactation consultant before making dietary changes while breastfeeding.
