Corn

Corn is generally fine while breastfeeding, but it's worth knowing that corn is a relatively common food sensitivity trigger for some infants. Most babies tolerate it well.

Corn is not a top-8 allergen but is among the next tier of common food sensitivities. A small number of babies may react to corn proteins in breast milk with symptoms like fussiness, gas, or skin issues. If your baby is already reacting to dairy and soy elimination hasn't helped, your pediatrician may suggest trialing a corn elimination. For most families, corn is completely fine.
