Cauliflower
Cauliflower won't make your baby gassy. The gas-causing carbohydrates in cruciferous vegetables stay in your gut and don't pass into breast milk — so eat up!
Myth: Cruciferous vegetables including cauliflower do NOT cause gas in breastfed babies through breast milk.
This myth applies to all cruciferous vegetables. The fermentable fibers that cause gas in adults are broken down in the large intestine and never absorbed into the bloodstream, let alone breast milk. Your baby's gassiness is coming from their own immature digestive system or air swallowing during feeding, not from your dinner.
Always confirm with your doctor or lactation consultant before making dietary changes while breastfeeding.
