Caraway

Caraway seed is a traditional galactagogue used in European folk medicine, particularly in Germany and Eastern Europe. Culinary amounts in cooking and tea are considered safe.

📈Traditional European galactagogue; culinary doses considered safe.
Caraway has been used for centuries to support milk supply and relieve infant colic (indirectly through maternal milk). It's a common flavoring in rye bread, cheeses, and sauerkraut. No safety concerns have been identified at culinary doses during breastfeeding. Concentrated extracts are not well studied.
