Açaí

Açaí is safe and nutritious while breastfeeding! This antioxidant-rich Amazonian berry is a great addition to smoothie bowls and provides a good dose of healthy fats and fiber.

Açaí berries are rich in anthocyanins (antioxidants), healthy monounsaturated fats, fiber, and small amounts of iron and calcium. Açaí bowls are typically made with frozen açaí purée blended with banana and topped with granola and fresh fruit — all breastfeeding-safe. The caffeine content in açaí is minimal and not a meaningful concern at typical serving sizes.
